Sort of. :p I figured these were the best I could do. Also, I am dressed as Ellen Page in the movie Juno. (and for the first time in my life I went trick-or-treating!!) I had a balloon under my shirt. XD

Just for good measure, a few more of the tarantula. She needs a name! Anyone have suggestions?

Eek! Yes, I am a snake owner who's afraid of spiders... irony at its best, LOL. I'm not really afraid of the roaches, but as I'm originally from the mid-Atlantic (roach heaven), they're definitely not my favorite things. Cute costume idea, though! Maybe you could name the spider Juno?

I'm bad at naming spiders. My dad named my OBT Betty, and even though I think it's not adequately cool enough for her, I couldn't think of anything better!

lol..

Hrm. for some reason I just thought of either Harold or Maude. I'm not sure if those are "cool" tarantula names either..

Anyway, nice costume. Is Ellen Page your doppelgänger?

Wee! Yes, Ellen page is my doppelganger. I dressed like her and at certain angles resembled her quite a bit.

Haha, lolo that is pretty ironic. XD

And Jessicat, my friend is WAY into OBTs... and after seeing a few, I've decided I will never own one. XD

lol... mine has some kind of identity issue and thinks she's a G. Rosea.

I wouldn't let her climb on my face, and in fact I don't ever take her out on purpose, but in the rare even that she is out of her home..

she is fine.

My wife won't let me have spiders, scorpions, or roaches.... It makes me sad, because for the longest time, that was all I could have. They were easy to hide from my parents, and were easily to care for.

Aw Outcast that sucks. My boyfriend isn't too happy about me owning either of these, but so long as I keep them out of sight he's ok.

Wow Jessicat! She's beautiful. <3 Personally I want an Avicularia metallica they are SO pretty and my boyfriend loves blue so I think they may change the way he sees them.

Yeah It does suck. But, once we have our own place that I can build a small house like building in the back yard away from the house. I can keep whatever I like in there, I even plan on getting a hot or two.

Thanks :) That's the first time I have ever gotten nice full body shots of her like that because I usually am very respectful of her home. She was freshly moulted though, and I REALLY wanted to be able to capture those colors! My friend and I kind of nudged her out of hiding and she ended up coming out onto my hand. oops! She was totally harmless though.

I love Avicularias. My OBT is pretty cool because she does some great stuff with her viv, but I don't like to own tarantulas I can't see. I get bored with pet holes. Avics are great because they are arboreal and you can always see them! The Metallics look cool, I don't know how readily avalible they are though.
I have a Versi as well, and I LOVE her/him. She's pretty small still (calling her she for good luck), so she's still blue all over, and she's adorable! A. Versis are cute as babies and look amazing as adults as well. I think I'd like just about any kind of Avic.

Well, the more I look into them the more I think I'd like a versi really. I like the look better plus I think they're more common. :3
