Hammock and bedding?

Do Corn Snakes like hammocks? I make a lot of hammocks for my rats and thought it might be nice to put some in my corns tank but was not to sure about it. I make then out of fleece/cotton or fleece/flannel. I also wondered if it would be ok to use fleece as bedding or maybe to put under the bedding? Thanks.

I don't see why not, as far as hammocks go. But as a bedding, I'm not so sure. I know it would be very similar to using newspaper (only you wash then re-use it) but lots of corns like to burrow and dig around. I'd stay with wood shavings and things like that.

Thanks, I was not to sure about it bedding wise but thought I would ask just in case because I use it as bedding for my rats.

I'd brought up the idea of using polar fleece in another thread. It was basically seen as having potential. RATTIE, do you know what cozies are? I was planning on making some for my guinea pigs. If you know how to crochet, you might know about felting. I was toying with the idea of making felted tunnels for snakes to burrow in. I know some snakes may enjoy hammocks. I have a snake that has started to insist on draining his water bowl (by pushing the paper towels until they soak up water). Then he lays in the bowl. I'm now trying to convince him that a second, and empty, water bowl is better to use than turning his tub into a swamp. A hammock may work for him.

I bought my little amel stripe a hammock, she loves it! She sits up there in the morning just after her light comes on... She bathes on it like a goddess... I just put some plants resting on top of it though so shes not too exposed... I think it looks pretty neat too..

Thats her old viv, but she's in a bigger one now(and the hammock came with her), and she seems to love it more and more as time goes by!
