Handling after feeding

Can I add another question along the same line?...If I take my snake out of it's viv and place it in another container to feed it, how do I get it back into the viv without handling it? Just put the other container (assuming it fits inside) into the viv and let the snake come out at it's leisure? OR is it okay to gently pick it up just to move it?

you can gently move it back. We mean put it back in the viv and don't take it out of the viv from 24-48 hours.

Either get a feeding container that fits inside what they live in, or you can do what we do. We gently scoop the snake, using both hands, and put our guys back in their vivs.

i've taken onboard the 48hr rule & now i curious as to why? am i right in thinking it have an adverse effect his digestion?

and can you tell me why you use a seperate feed container, the previous owners of my snake just put his food on a plastic tray in his viv. i do have a suitable container to feed him in the future, so theres no problem on that score ... im just curious

most people choose not to feed on the substrate because of the risks involved if the snake was to take in bits of mulch, wood, or w/e you have it on. my personal reasons for not feeding in the viv are mainly that one, but i also would like to avoid training the snake to think that everytime it's container is open, food is being tossed in. i dont know if it works, but i've never been bit since i started feeding in different containers.

so far as handling, it'd be like eating the largest meal you possibly can, and then trying to go run a mile or two. same concept, it's just to avoid regurges.
