handling

Had my corn for 8 months now, it's about 20 months old. He seems a bit reluctant to come to hand - runs off / holds on when taking out to handle, also flinches a bit now, wraps & constricts around wrist (never did these before). We handle about once every two days for 10 Min's (ave) - should I handle more often or less ? is he stressed ?

If you want handle it. I handle mine every day escept for 2 days after his feeding. He doesn't mind to much anymore.

Tough call. If he's not rattling or biting, I'd say you have nothing to worry about. Some corns are just high-strung. Sad to say, but most of my corns are hardly handled except at feeding times. So from one viewpoint, I'm stressing them very little. But on the other hand, they are not all being properly conditioned to handling either. Despite this, their docility runs the gamut from imperturbable to high-strung, with a few strays that are squarely in the territory of evil. :shrugs:
