Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for where we live, & our freedom.
I just hate what it does to the creatures.
It breaks my heart to see how much it terrifies them.I'm all for celebrating, but the reservations sell the illegal fireworks, & the idiots that don't consider other people ruin it if the rest of us.

That's exactly my problem with it, Heather. The REASON behind the holiday is good, the idiots and their illegal fireworks are bad, imho. They terrify my dogs and macaws, and ruin any fun that we might have otherwise had with on the 4th of July.

If I'm working, we're super busy & I worry about my critters, & if I'm off for the holiday, I'm home, taking care of stressed out critters
