Hard time with pinkies

I'm having a hard time with the pinkies. Particullary putting them out of their misery. I have been putting them in a freezer bag (about 4 together) and then putting about 3 of those bags in another (larger) freezer bag. I then put them in the freezer. I can't get that squeaking sound out of my mind. Poor guys. I may have to end up buying from rodentpro.com.

im not the expert but i would think that buying them might be the best idea. just cause you dont have to go through with the killing yourself. but some other peoples may have differnet oppinoins sooo. . .

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Yeah

I would say that buying your mice prekilled from a pet shop or from online would be your best bet. You're going to have to start feeding dead prey items soon any way (because of the dangers) so you'd might as well start now.:D.

Eh? I think he's already feeding dead prey - just he's killing them himself. I do that too sometimes. I buy mice from a local rat farm - if the guy doesn't have any frozen, I take live ones and promptly dispatch them. I agree, though, if he's having trouble killing them to buy them already dead.

Yes, they are very much alive when I buy them. I put them in the freezer alive. I've done it several times, I just don't care for disposing of the poor fellows. I really doubt the pet store that I buy them from has frozen. Also, the pet store is 2+ hours away.

If it REALLY REALLY bothers you, you can use CO2 cartridges to kill them instantly I've heard.
Shipping usually costs like over $20 so paying for some cartridges would probably be cheaper.
