Has anyone dealt with BHB Reptiles in Michigan?

I checked into Canadian law and found out I can bring a snake across the border without any special permits or inspections or anything! So upon researching, I found BHB Reptiles and their selection and prices look amazing!!!

Anyone dealt with them?? I'm super excited at the idea of going over... though I may come home with more than one if I do >.>

I live not too far from them, and have been to their facility several times to pick up frozen feeders. Their facility is clean and modern. The animals I saw looked healthy, and Brian is very nice.

Awesome!! I'm going to call the border services agency just to make sure what I read is correct but I think I might be going there!

We purchased from him at a show last year and have no complaints. He was very nice to us and took the time to sex our little girl and show us how he did it. He seemed like a pretty genuine guy.

You can bring reptiles into Canada without a permit, but you can't take them out of the USA without a lot of hassle. There was a discussion about it a few months ago. I'll see if I can find it.

I have never heard a bad thing about them, they have a stellar reputation.

Like Olivia said, if you ever have questions on breeders or mice supplier go to the BOI and check them out. It is where people who have completed a transaction with them go to praise them, ask about them or warn others about them. It is a great tool.

There's a thread in the Canadian subforum about this. There's paperwork to fill out but so long as it's a non-CITES reptile and it's as a pet only (no breeding plans in the future) it's not too difficult.

I have purchased a few corns from them. The ones that they produced themselves were great. In fact, they gave me a low expression pied-sided bloodred when I ordered an inexpensive diffused. However, I did purchase a couple that were being resold by BHB but weren't produced by them. One passed and the other barely made it. I didn't hold it against them (for long) because the animals were only in their care briefly and for all I know they may not have displayed signs of illness during that time. I let them know but did not demand a refund or replacement, although one was offered (they didn't have any more females of that morph).

ive made one purchase with them and it was my baby Golddust motley/stripe
cutest, most precious snake baby in the world. she was pretty scared at first and bit me like 5 times in a row but never has after that.
she loves exploring and even lets me touch her head! shes a great, healthy snake, and i couldn't be more happy with her
BHB also has a TON of really cool videos on youtube under SnakeBytesTV/AnimalBytesTV
They have some really nice tours and good info on their facility and animals
theyve got a good humor too lol

Not that I am planning on doing it or even CONDONING it, but how hard would it be to get one little corn snake over the border without anyone having to know?
