hi i was just woundering if every 1 has had a good start to the new year
happy new guys

Unfortunately, not with Vern's repeated prolapse. But on the other hand, Butter is doing far better, and my four anery babies all seem to be doing fine, so maybe it's better than it could have been.

In a word, NO.

Oh, the snakes are fine. The dog is fine. The dragons are fine.

But thanks to this fine weather we're having (current temperature is 10 degrees Fahrenheit), while I was running the dog on New Year's Day, I stepped on some weird half-ice, half-snow thingie and strained/stretched the tendons around the first metatarsal (the bones leading up to the big toe) on my right foot.

So my right instep is tender and swollen. I'm limping like I should be working in a bell tower.

And on top of it all, I'm in my late forties and I have a zit on my nose the size of Bermuda. I figure that if my voice starts cracking, I'm going through reverse puberty.

:awcrap:

:crying:

:sobstory:

Horrid!

Jazz.... so sorry to hear about your reverse puberty. Usually I see men just "acting" as if they're in reverse puberty....could be worse, eh?

Mine started off pretty well with a decent New Years Eve date... woo hoo! However, the next day.... I attempted my first breeding of the season, an evil hybrid mix. I put them in together, they both exhibited mating behavior, I was thrilled. Well, I wasn't watching like I should have and my male got eaten. Entirely eaten. I couldn't believe it and had to weigh the female to prove to myself that he's really gone. In her belly. For the record, she's doing just fine. Fat, but fine.

I'm devastated and seriously hoping that this start to my '08 breeding isn't a precursor of things to come....

Ugh!

Hope everyone else is doing MUCH better!!!

So far this year is going spendidly.
I am getting a male Sulpher (or is it Sulfer?) in April/May.
He is on reserve and I am making payments.
I named him Festivus, and am rather excited.

And a certain customer who frequents my shop is moving away.
You know the type of person you hate dealing with?
Well we have one who lives right down the road from the shop (a bike shop).
Today while driving past I saw there was a "For Sale" sign in front of the house!! YAY!!!

I hope this year keeps on going this well for me, I'm loving it so far!

Jeez guys. I'm sorry to hear about the bad starts! Hope it turns around!

I figure I better lighten the mood. I'm doing great. The snakes are out of hibernation, i just had someone come by to pick up a hatchling amel they fell in love with at the last show, and it looks like the snake's going into great hands.

I guess this is a little before the new year, but it sure will influence it. I got a brand new be-a-u-tiful macbook pro for christmas, and a new camera too, with an amazing macro for close up snake photos.:) Now all I need is that charcoal I've been begging for!

Dogs are happy, schools good, nothing to complain about here!!

This is kind of a metaphor for some relationships I've been in. :laugh01:

Sorry for your loss/her weight gain!

With these -20windchills I was forced to stay inside thus catching a cold.
And my throat hurts and I have a fever.
Oh well, better then last year when I was in the hospital for 2 weeks.

Oh Tonya, I just read this! I am so sorry about your loss. I hope this year goes better for you. <HUGS>

Ahhh... thanks doll!! It truly was my own fault. I will miss him, for sure.

<glares at Jazz>

okay...honestly? I did laugh at the comment. Sick puppy that I am.

Jazz, sorry about your misstep but it did remind me of this Red Dwarf episode where everthing is backwards and Cat goes out to relieve himself and, well, you get the point. Better stop before you explode.
