These are from Molly (Hypo Motley, het Amel, Anery) to Rio (Hypo Het Amel, Anery, Motley)..there are 18 total..here are a few pics at hatch time..so exciting to prove out these hets!!!
Oooh, love the babies, so cute! Just curious though, is the lighting just really dark in some of the pics of first clutch? Baby 1 looks anery motley, or is it just dark ghost? (same with first two pics in second pic post)
Nope.. U r correct.. Anery motleys! I am very excited about them!! That group had anery and anery motleys as well as amels, amel motleys one ghost motley and a snow that I think is coral snow.. The one in the pic. And a couple hypo and hypo motley. The one I am not sure about is pic 4 in the second group. I was thinking hypo motley but the color is such a dark red. I need to get some post shed pics
I love the contrast of anery babies! Wouldn't that mean though that one of the parents is not homozygous hypo? Since all babies would have to have hypo in them if the parents are hypo motley x hypo?
Actually I think mamma is a normal motley but not sure. I thought hypo motley with the offspring being some hypo and daddy is a hypo. Sometimes this genetics stuff confuses me
I used to have a motley that I was almost POSITIVE was hypo motley... Bred her to my ghost and she's not even HET motley! Lol.
Chances are she's a normal motley if you got anything other than 100% homo hypo babies, especially if dad is confirmed hypo.
