Heat Pad Size Question!

So, I'll be getting a 45g long tank, 48" by 12". Should I get a 11" by 17" heat pad? What would be a good size? Is Ultratherm a good brand? This website I found has really cheap Ultratherm UTH, so thats why I'm asking about a specific size, because they don't say "for 30-40 gallon tanks" :p

Thanks!

I would say that is a good size. It covers a little more than a third, and usually a heat pad should cover 1/3-1/2 of the floor bottom, so I think yours is perfect! I have not used ultratherm.. I use zoomed, so I can't help there!

I use Ultratherm UTHs. They're good in my experience. Definitely need a thermostat though - their top end heat range goes way past a Corn's safe max (mine have gone to 120+ when tried without a stat).
