my tank gets from about 71 to 88 in the morning and at night but in the mid day when im in the same room using comp and tv it gets really hot in there and the cooler end gets to about 80 for quite a few hours is this a problem ?

Do you have a rheostat on the heat pad? (Like a dimmer switch)
This would allow you to control the temperature that the pad reached.

Even better is a thermostat as then you could set the temperature you wanted and the pad would turn on and off to attain that temperature.
