Heating in the winter

Since it's been getting colder, the cool side of the enclosure has dropped to around 70. The heat pad keeps the surface of the warm side at 85. Should I be warming the ambient temperature back up to 75? How far below the ideal temperature can it be before it's a problem?

As long as they can safely lay on the warm side ( it's not too hot because you use a thermostat) you don't have to worry about it. The snake will move to where he's most comfortable.
