Hey

Ive not yet actually bought our snake as we were debating which snake to get. I wanted a Royal Python but husband wants a Corn Snake. We've done lots of reading and think we are going for Corn. For some reason vivarium etc are boogling my mind!!! At the pet shop they said a plastic one will be fine until they grown bigger. Bulbs are best.
Just wondering if anyone has useful tips, whats best etc.
We have a 20 month old lil boy - Jacob
alaskan malamute - Lilly,
winter snow hamster - Titch

Thanks
Ashley

I am still a novice of sorts. But from everything I read, Under the tank heaters are the best with a thermastat. Corns dont really bask in the sun, so more than likely with a bulb they will hide to get away from it. I was also told, not sure if it is true, that those plastic ones can not be heated, they can give out harmful fumes. I have my two babies in 10 gallon glass tanks and my slightly bigger one in a 20 gallon. I am also told that they can stay in the 10 gallons for a year or two, depending on their grow right. I did see an awesome care sheet posted by Nanci that gives a lot of helpful information. I will have to find where I found it for you! I am so more experienced members will post as well. I hope my information was helpful to say the least.
