Hi, my name is David. I have a yearling Amel female named Coraline, I've had her since she was a hatchling. She is so much fun, and my wife and I are thinking of getting another corn. I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how. By the way, the lady at the pet store told me my snake was little for her age when I told her it was only two feet long, does anyone know the average size of a yearling cornsnake? My snake feeds great and seems to be in good health, just want to make sure she's normal I guess. Thanks.

as far as I know corns grow to 4 to 6 feet within the first 2 years so it sounds normal to me but some of the breeders on here might know better than me. I only know what i've learned over the internet lol.

get those pictures posted. and check out mine while you're at it. :D

It varies.. corns can normally get 3-5ft fully grown. I believe the average is 4ft. On average you want them to be about three feet long by three years of age. You should also go by weight more so than length.

I see, so what would be a healthy weight for a yearling corn?

The recommended weight is 300grams by three years..going by this information I would say a healthy well fed yearling could be 100grams or more (less or more).

I have a yearling that I got from a pet shop, it was fed one small pinky mouse once a week..so he is 27grams and I am working him up to his propper size off feeders. A 27gram corn snake should be on peach fuzzies/small fuzzies. He should be larger though..
I am just using him as an example, to show that it just depends.
