Hello from Canada!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Marica (mah-rye-kah). I am Dutch-Canada. I have never been without pets in my life. From hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, cats, dogs, freshwater fish and corn snakes. I am also a professional animal groomer.

At the moment my family consists of 4 dogs, 4 cats and 2 snakes. Leisha is a 15 year old Yorkie, Timon is an 8 year old Shih Tzu, Connor is 3 year old Rat Terrier and Logan is a 1 year old Min Pin. Caiden, Nevan and Fiona are our 3 Bengals, all from the same litter, and are almost 3 years old. Our 4th kitten is Liam and he's a silver tabby. And, yes, our cats are bigger than our dogs. I first got Keenan, Anery A, about 6 years ago. I was hoping for a female as I was planning to breed with my friend's type B. However, my plans were thwarted when I had him probed. He is very inquisitive and always on the go. I know, his brownish colouring doesn't show well in this photo.

About a year and half later I fell in love with my Amel, Naomi, who's previous owner decided to invest in Bearded Dragons instead of Corns. She is very calm, likes to nestle in and loves her chin rubs...hehe.

I know it's taboo, but I did have them cohabing for the past 4 years. They have never had any health issues and have never shown any aggression towards each other. I was beginning to wonder if they had been mis-sexed. However, this spring Naomi became gravid and I have since separated them.

Hi marica, welcome.
Your anery's got a nice even pattern. I like that, but I also like the crazy patterns, or the kinds with just one odd saddle. I guess I just like them all.
That's a couple of hefty snakies you got there. I had to re-read to see who was gravid, they're both very round. You may want to try smaller prey or less frequent feedings.
Good luck with the eggs!

Hi Alan!

At their last vet visit I was told they could lose a few. Been feeding her 2 hoppers and him 1 adult once a week. May have to stretch their feedings out a bit. I think they may have become a little lazy always curled up together. I'll see how they do now that they are separated and elongating their feedings.

I loved Keenan's even markings and got him despite his gimpy tail, which you may have noticed is a little stubby. I don't think it ever developed fully and despite helping him he may have lost a bit during sheds.
