Hello From Central Ohio

Cornball
We're new to corn snakes, having only had them for three weeks. I've always liked snakes, though my wife was scared of them. But three weeks ago, a seminal event occurred - my daughter found a garter snake and asked me to catch it. I did, and within a few minutes she was holding it and was smitten (not bitten). She wanted a snake in the worse way, and my research pointed to the corn snake. A week later she got a young snow corn from a pet store (clearly an area where my research was lacking), and named him Jasper (Twilight fans will understand).

My wife really liked him, and not long after bought an Okeetee from a local reptile store. She's about 9 months old and still nameless.

This morning I had two butter stripes arrive via FedEx, Steveo and Terri. After taking a few photos I'm giving them some much deserved quite time.

So anyway, hello to all, and I'm looking forward to being a part of this great community. :D

Bob

Welcome! You'll find there are LOTS of people from Ohio here. Sounds like you got just as addicted as I did! Started in December and I now have 7 corns, a ball-python and a Red-Tail boa! You'll love it here!

Welcome, Butter stripes are awesome. Caution this is a very addictive hobby and you look to be well on your way. Where in C. Ohio are you?

Thanks Min. Yes, we have looked at ball pythons too! But my wife wants a piebald, and they are just a bit more than most corns. :)

ForkedTung - thanks. We're in Hilliard, OH. Your site was one of the first ones we looked at when doing our research. Was hoping to do business with an Ohio breeder. Love the Serpent Mound logo!

Welcome!! Congrats on the new addiction! I love the names of your butter stripes. I just got a pair in today. Aren't they just awesome!?

Oh, and when (not if, lol) you do decide to get more snakes, and you want to buy from an Ohio breeder, I'd recommend Kyle (ForkedTung) hands down. He is a great guy and produces some great animals (I have four from him myself). :)

Thanks so much Hallie! (I did not pay her to say that).
