Hello from Effie and I

Hello everyone! I used to come here a long time ago when I first got corn snakes. Unfortunately I had some bad luck with the three that I had, two dying shortly after I bought them and Sarah, well she was always sick (never grew properly). Needless to say it took me a while after my last passed to get another corn snake.

So with my bad luck, I named her Effie Trinket after the hunger games. My friends idea, so that I can say to her every night "and may the odds be every in your favor!" :)

I got Effie at the Toronto Reptile Expo Feb 2nd, she's a yearling, weighs 91 grams and feeding nicely! She's a Lavender corn and was probed at the expo to confirm her sex.

I don't think she had much handling, as she is very skittish. But she hasn't tried to strike yet, just gave me the rattle snake tail a few days after getting her.

I'll post pictures when I get home! She's a beauty :)

Didn't realize I could send them from my phone

Welcome!
Sorry to hear you had a rough start to owning snakes.
I hope this one proves to be much better!
She is very pretty!

Might just be me but are you sure she is a Lavender? She looks like a very nice Ghost to me.

I was told she was lavender, she doesn't really look like a ghost, but I'm not convinced she's a lavender either lol
