aquatic mouse

Hi. My name is Carrie, but my nickname is Mouse (I'm short). I'm pretty much a newbie. When I started working at a pet store in April of 2009, I was afraid of the snakes and tarantulas. I didn't like animals whose movements I couldn't predict. A few months later, my boss changed my schedule so that I was working on Wednesday mornings...snake feeding time. After a few times of trying to get other people to help me, I finally decided to dive right in.
After a while, the corn snakes weren't freaky any more. In fact, they were kinda cute. Then the baby ball pythons weren't so scary either. Then it hit me, I had to have a corn snake.
I purchased my first corn snake last December. She was a pretty snow corn that I named Frost. In February, I went to my first reptile show. I purchased a beautiful striped amel/motley who I named Lilith. The next month I bought a blood red boy and named him Diablo.
Sadly both Frost and Diablo have passed away. All the vet and I can figure is that they died from being probed. A guy at the reptile show swore he does it all the time and that it's fine to do on hatchlings. Now I know better.
Lilith is still going strong. She is such a beautiful snake. That's her in my pic.
This past June, a friend of mine told me he was going to have to re-home his ball python, Monty. He had to move back in with his parents and his mom would not accept the snake. Monty lives with me now. He enjoys being out of his cage (with supervision of course). He likes knocking stuff off of my desk and typing. Monty also likes to try to fit in spaces that are too small for him.
Last month, I purchased a leucistic ratsnake at the Columbus Reptile show. It's not real fond of me, but I'm working on it. It's beautiful either way. Still working on a name for it.
This month, I purchased an adorable little striped ghost corn. I hope to breed him with Lilith someday. He hasn't told me his name yet, but I'm leaning toward Zuul, Gozer, Vinz Clortho, or Spangler (Ghostbusters names for a Ghost corn :rofl.
Sorry for the book. That's my snake history. :grabbit:
