Hello from the UK!

The Corn~Dorm

Happy bouncy Corn-aholic!
Hi all!
My name is Louise, and I'm based in Lincolnshire in the UK. I breed corns and balls....but I won't say a word about the latter whilst in the midst of the corn forum! happy birthday Rich!! I've spent many hours doing the drool routine at the snakes on your sale pages!
I am the proud owner of...or should that be: I am proudly OWNED by, LOL, the following phases: Amel, Anery A, Miami, Carolina, Candycane, Bloodred, Pewter, Motley het Lavender, Amber, Caramel, Snow, Ghost, Reverse Okeetee (at last!), Amel het Opal, and arriving soon...Blizzard!
I totally blame (in the nicest way) Kathy Love for the expansion of my collection over the course of time....when I first read The Cornsnake Manual (The Corn-Bible as it is known here!!) it opened my eyes to so many things....and the addiction just grew and grew! So while I'm here...thanks to Kathy for being the inspiration and the guide in my early days.
Anyway...I'm looking forward to getting to know a few more souls who are also corn-aholics, swapping information and stresses etc (I'll probably go bald before I go grey, breeding season ain't good for the follicles!)...and happy birthday to everyone who has just notched up another year on the scorecard!

Have a good weekend all, and I'll catch up with everyone as soon as I've ordered another corn or 7...oops no...I meant as soon as I've finished cleaning duties...

All the best,
Louise

Welcome here there are a few members from the uk here and from europe i am from london now in spain. Please post pics when you can in the photo gallery.

Hello!

Hi Louise and Welcome!!

Sounds like you are already deep into the addiction :D hehe I look forward to seeing some of your beauties when you get a chance!

Hi Fellow over the ponder ;)
Great collection you have, for being in the UK. Its not that often you see people with more than the common morphs.

I would kill for a motley het lav, just where did you get one!!!

Thank you all for the lovely welcome!
Tula....hee hee...I'm amazed that not everyone goes diving in for variety too, although sometimes prices over here can be prohibitive! I'm very proud of my male motley het lav....he's got the most gorgeous circles for nearly the entire length of his body, and I got him from a reptile trader with real classy tastes! The female is good but not quite the same *wow* factor!

Heya cornmorphs! I thought that I'd come in wearing someone else's coat when you called me Sarah!! LOL No worries, blame it on the weather....my brain is cooking here today. :crazy01:

Tonya....oh yes, oh yes, oh yes....very addicted....and the only known therapy is....{whispers} buying another 10 of the lovely little devils!! :)

And hiya Aiden-now-in-Spain! Has the escape overseas been a good move? I'll certainly be getting some photos pasted into the gallery as soon as I get a few moments...this heatwave isn't very motivational...so I'm just chilling by the air-con unit! LOL

It's great to *meet* you all...maybe we could arrange synchronised hair loss as an Olympic event during the breeding season, and find out who's got what it takes to be a *gold medal baldy*??!!

Beast wishes
Louise

LOL I am going for veriety in species :p
But i am starting to aquire all my desired corn morphs. Picking up a candycane this tuesday actually. Could you post pictures of your darling mot lavs?

As for boas, i have more than your run of the mill red tails. What do you expect from pet stores though eh, straight from the breeder is cheaper and more of a secrue "investment". Hopefully i will produce albino boas in a few years ;)

Good to meet you too! And as for all those snakes ya can't have....just bear in mind that somethings are worth waiting for...and you'll get them one day! :)

Hell from the UK!

Tula...LOL...that's the spirit, variety of species too!!
On the corn score I love my candys, my male is called...Bitty, which will probably make more sense if you've watched Little Britain!!
I'll sort some photos over the course of the weekend....the chumps just fed last night, so I'll wait til I'm safe from rear-end splatterings! LOL
And good luck with your boa projects too....albinos...beautiful!

LOL Im a bit of a boid fanatic...
And i cringe at the thought of "bitty" LOL Why name him that! haha

{resists urge to jabber about boids} I have to say.....I love 'em too!!

And as for how the candy guy got called Bitty...when he was a hatchling, he had a real thing for disappearing down everyones' t-shirts...and I got the honour of being bitten. Finger-munchers and nose-biteys aren't a worry...but as for *bitty-nippers*....WOOOOO....it reminded me why I gave up breast feeding my kids! LOLOLOL

Hello from the UK

You mean there is a worse state of desperation that goes beyond *terminally addicted*?!! :crazy02: I better book in at the funny farm while the going is good....see if they'll reward me with more snakeys!

Now ya see why I called him Bitty! He hasn't nipped since his young days, in fact I'd say he was one of the daftest ones in my gang...but they all run him close for having gentle ways.

I think there is worse :(
I seem to be aquiring snakes at a vast rate... I have a list i'm working down. And by tuesday i can check off the brazilian rainbow boa ;)

LOL....yeah...that's the funny thing here too, snakes just keep appearing....one minute I have loads of these creamy white, ovalish things in tubs...and the next thing ya know....BOOOOOM...where did all these wriggly critters come from?! LOL

If they happen to wiggle into my house can I keep them?????

I wont be breeding anything for a few years yet. The oldest of my snakes are yearlings. Im scooping up the hatchlings atm though. What babies did you get this year?

@ PureNightAir.....heehee, you'd have to meet them before deciding to keep any stray ones....some of these babes are full of spit, and whilst I think they are sooooo darn cute when they're having a hissy fit, I have seen plenty of folks back away from a 10" wriggler!

@ Tula....babies this year...have got snow, carolina, anery, miami & candycane (which haven't been listed on my site yet), and I'm waiting for another load of clutches to hatch out....one of those clutches is het butter & hypo....but next year should be the first of the het Opal breedings, and I'm excited and terrified at the thought of *maiden matings*!
