Hello from the west coast, book suggestions for someone new?

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to become a proud snake, if not cornsnake, owner in the future. This seems to be a very active community and hopefully a great place for fielding questions.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on reference literature on both cornsnakes and snakes in general. I've owned a few mammals over the years, and a couple of little green anoles, but this will be my first snake so every bit of information is welcome.

Welcome to the forum! I don't have any general snake book suggestions. For cornsnakes, both "The Corn Snake Manual" by Bill & Kathy Love and "Corn Snakes in Captivity" by Don Soderberg are excellent resources that cover all the basics of keeping corns. I purchased and read Bill & Kathy's book before I ever bought my first snake. FYI, the two books I mentioned cover much of the same material.

Hi Bram, welcome to the forum.

Just like the others, I would suggest Kathy Love's or Don Soderberg's books.
