Hi! I am a brand new corn snake owner.. just picked the little guy up yesterday :) and I figured I'd introduce myself because I will probably be on here with lots of questions seeing that this is my first snake!

I am currently in a herpetology class which is what spiked my interest in snakes and other herps.. I had the privileged of handling around 20 species of snakes and taking care of 4 wild caught eastern hognose snakes for a short while before they were released back into the wild and I knew I had to have a snake of my own.

One slight problem.. the snake is still nameless! I cant for the life of me think of a non-generic name suitable for him! Any suggestions while I'm here? lol

can you post a pic? Does he do anything odd or have an odd shaped marking anywhere? Any songs, movies or books catch your fancy? LOL name him after your herp professor!

Hello Melissa!
I am in the same situation right now.
I have my baby corn for 3 days now and I called it Bob, but today the breeder sent me an email saying that it is actualy a female and now I don't know what to do.
I'm thinking Polly or Shiva.
Fat Pappy is nice! haha
