i'm looking to buy my first "real" snake (i have a ribbon snake, but it's really more of an observational pet, eh?), and i'm debating between a ball python and a corn snake; i've heard both are good first snakes.

i was wondering if i could hear from corn snake owners on whether or not this makes a good first and only snake, whether two can go in a tank together, how big a tank i need for babies, and how well they interact with humans.

I don't think you are going to get any argument from anyone on a corn snake forum saying that corn snakes aren't great first snakes and pets! lol

Be aware though, it's addicting after you get just one!

I class myself as privilaged to have two beautiful cornsnakes in my family home. Just holding and looking at them never ceases to amaze me. They are fantastic creatures with great character and temperment.
I wouldn't change them for the world.
All captive bred cornsnakes deserve a good home!!!!
Just look through the forum for details of what you need for the initial setup.

If you are not convinced by now, then you are simply not worthy of one!!! :grin01:
