HELP(i need a quick solution to warmth)

My sister just found a snake and i wasn't prepared for one. So, right now it's in a shoe box(clear plastic). I know i need something to keep it warm just untill i can get to the pet shop and buy a heating pad and/or lamp. I need a quick solution or even ideas for how to keep it warm. Or even tips. because i don't want it to die. :shrugs:

Put it partially (not all the way on it because it will need to have a cool place)on the cable box. The cable box usually stays warm. If you don't have one try the top of the refrig. If I remember my schoolin', our science teacher had us put our petry dishes up there because of the warmth. Or you may try the top of your computer if you sleep it all night. Good luck.

I doubt it will get so cold it will die in one day. Mostly the heat on the belly is for digestion. Right now in the summer, it's usually pretty comfy in the house.

Good call Meg

It is warm enough in Huntsville that the snake will be fine in the house at room temps (as long as it isn't much below 75 inside). Contrary to popular opinion, colubrids do just fine between 76-81 degrees with no digestive issues.
