Thanks so much for your reply :)

I love my two snakes (have another one who I think is a normal - pic attached) to bits but morphs do seriously confuse me :)

They are both from the same clutch but couldnt be more different lol Bonkers (amel) is placid and super friendly whereas Scar is a wee S**T lol I should really rename her Houdini lolol

Pics of Scar are a couple of months old, they were taken when I first got her (well am pretty sure she is a she lolol)

Very pretty amel, and normal!

You should look into getting the 2011 Corn Snake morph guide. It really explains the genetics in a way you can understand... Using cookies! LOL... You can also look at www.Corncalc.com, it is a calculator that you can play with and learn a little bit about the genetics as well as clicking on the names of the morphs to see what they look like.

Thanks Outcast!

I will defo start looking into morphs a bit more.

I purely chose them because of they're colour and markings lol I love the fact that Scar is almost golden on the side & Bonkers saddle's are perfect all the way down to his tail :) :)

What do you think about keeping them together? I have a big viv (custom built by myself & mates), so I think one snake alone but defo get lost in there haha no all jokes aside they seem to be getting on fine but obv dont wanna harm them in any way?

Hi! They are really pretty snakes, but you should seperate them. Snakes are solitary animals by nature, and don't like to be around others except for breeding. They tend to get stressed out if they have to live with others and stress can make them ill and shorten their lives. Plus if you have a male and a female, when they get older the male will constantly harass and try to breed with the female, and if she is too small or stressed it could end up killing her. (I know about this, I lost my beautiful Kelsey that way).

Anyway, congrats on joining this wonderful addictive hobby and best of luck with your beautiful new babies!

Hmm.. Maybe you are right. But then I might just get two big enough RUB's for them and decorate them or something.

But what could I use my viv for then? its roughly 3 ft x 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft...

Well...you could build another viv like it so both can have a nice big place to live, orrrr you could get them both roomy tubs that would be smaller and maybe get a nice big Florida king. (I love my blotched king, she is awesome)

I might just get two 70 liter RUB's from work and turn them into viv's. I know I dont really need 70 liter one's but I am paranoid about not giving them enough room to roam about in.

What do you think guys and who keeps their snakes in RUB's? Post pics if you have any please! :)

I am thinking about getting more snakes but not sure which ones to go for tho :)

I keep my babies in 6 quart tubs..
Juvies get 12 quarts. Once they are too big to fit in the 12 quarts (generally over 2 feet by then) I put them in their adult 41 quart tubs. I don't trust the lids on the 41 quarts because I can't snap them down from the top. I have a BallRoom rack from boaphile that I absolutely LOVE for my bigger snakes. I found it used, but I am planning on buying another one or two off the website in the coming year. I don't have any pics right now, maybe I can take some later.
