Help with Morph ID :D

Hi, I am new here. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a positive ID on the morph my two cornsnake.

This is Peter and from what I have seen, I think he may be an Okeetee, but I could be completely wrong about that lol.

This is Lois and I just know she is a Motley...that is about it :)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Peter does have the thick borders of an Okeetee...time will tell if he develops the brilliant oranges or not.
Okeetee is just a selectively line bred normal to accent the thick borders and bright coloration.

Lois looks to be a normal motley from what I can tell. Would love to see a full body shot as she looks to have a beautiful pattern.

They are pretty, but I'm not sure on the morph id. I'm no expert, and I find the babies to be the most difficult. The two questions I'd like to know is where did you get them, and what did they call them--that might tell you or others something!

That first one definitely looks like an Okeetee. :]
The second is a VERY beautiful normal motley. Possible a miami? Not sure. But I absolutely love the colors and patterns.

First of all, thank you for all of the complements :) Well, I know that not all people agree with this, but I bought them at Petco :D My reasoning behind this being that I work there, and I knew for a fact that Peter had been doing very well and was eating well. Lois was purchased at another Petco from mine. I was nervous to buy her at one besides mine, because she had just come in a few days before, but she is also doing well and has eaten twice for me. Yay! Anyway, point is, they are sold as assorted corn snakes lol, so I had to do research to find out what morph they were lol.

Oh, and I will try to get a better full body shot of Lois tomorrow. She just ate last night and I don't want to disturb her too much :D

The Petco near me usually only sells snows, normals (as in not motley or okeetee), and amels. I agree that not all pets from Petco are kept in poor conditions. I've been to a couple Petco's with snakes in very good condition. These little guys look healthy. :]

We usually have only those too. That is why when I looked online and found out that he might be an Okeetee, I snagged him :) We got in a gray (can't remember the name) motley at one point, although I had no clue what it was called lol. But, yes, our snakes are very well cared for, although we do occasionally get a "non-feeder"...that always sucks :(

PetCo isn't totally bad. I buy most of mine from known breeders, but if I see something out of the ordinary, at my local PetCo, it's coming home. I know they purchase a lot of their stock from Gourmet Rodent, which is huge.

Very Pretty Snakes. The first one, does appear to be an Okeetee and the second looks like a Normal Motley. The motley looks to have a little q-tip patterning, which I love. It would be nice to see full body shots.

Good Luck and Congrats on the Pick Up!!

I'd also say the first one seems to be an okeetee. The borders are very wide - exactly okeetee borders. But you'll just have to wait and see how he'll develop.

The second one is a Normal Motley (or motley-stripe). Not a miami, because she has bright orange background colour between her saddles. That indicates the background colour will get pretty orange. Miami babies don't have that much or any orange.

Both of the babies are very cute!!! :D

Thanks guys! After I get off of work today, I will try and get a full body shot of Lois :) I am so excited! I was really hoping that I was right about Peter being an Okeetee :D I love em!

Full body pics of Lois

Here are the full body shots as promised...she wasn't in the mood to cooperate :)

Bump for my baby :) Just wondering if everyone still thinks motley normal for Lois... :D

Yep, normal motley. Could be normal motley-stripe (meaning one motley-gene and one stripe gene in the same locus), but that can't be determined by her looks. Motley-stripes can look almost like pure stripes or exaclty like pure motleys or anything in between. Also can pure motleys have these elongated, almost stripe-like blotches. So only test breeding will tell whether she's a motley or motley-stripe (unless you know for sure by the genetics of her parents).

Her pattern is neat! :D
