Not really sure what section to post this in but I really could use some help. I've been a member here for many years but have never posted anything, mainly I used it as just a great source of info. and the classifieds. Anyway life has changed drastically over the last year and half and I know am forced to sell of my collection. Problems is I have been away from the hobby so long that I have no idea of how to price any thing any more. Below is a list of what I have. If anyone could give me a hand I would be so appreciative. These guys need someone who can care for the properly (like I used to).

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I did not know that. Just paid for a contributing member membership. I think I should be now.

I certainly can't appraise them, and wouldn't feel right doing so, but I would recommend searching the web (kingsnake.com, CS.com, etc..) for snakes of the same morph, and then go from there. Then take into consideration the age of the snakes being sold, and +/- the value depending on what you think you've put into them, or what you'd feel comfortable with selling them for.

Sorry it's not much help, but it's where I would start.

You can look at some member's price lists to get an idea of how the new hatchlings are being priced, as well as the classified section here and elsewhere. The market is in a big slump and prices are being slashed by many who need to sell out their collections. Some can't even give them away.

I personally see about $1400-$1500 in the collection if you sell on your own. A wholesaler would give you around $500_$1000 for those animals.

Some members have done auctions, either here or on Facebook. Seems to work at times, especially on anything that seems in demand. Then the customers set the price. But you will want to research it first (as described earlier) to know where to start the bidding, and whether you want a reserve or not.

I agree with auctions; they seem to do very well.

Another thing you could do is just try to give them away to good homes with how bad the market is and if you cannot wait to move them. I've watched many threads saying "collection sale" or "collection reduction sale" pop up over the last year or so and have seen some people not move hardly any snakes.

Thank you so much for the feedback. As always, you are are awesome. These all great ideas and will put them in to action immediately. Once again... thank you all
