Help with Water Dragons Needed

First, this is Susan Willis starting things off for my neice, Keirsten.

I'm currently visiting her and she is having some problems with her water dragons. I know my limitations and this is the best help I can give. I've already checked out FaunaClassifieds and a recent post requesting info on water dragons has only a limited response and the one site offered was currently unavailable.

I know that many of you keep more than one species of herp and am hoping for someone with experience to reply. I know she checked out one or two sites for water dragons already, but got conflicting answers. The site(s) were also full of flame, which really turned her off. I told her that the people here were alot different and that she could basically trust the info supplied.

If you have experience with water dragons, even just basic care, but help with unthrifty/sick dragons would be even more helpful, or could recommend someone that could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Keirsten will have strict orders to visit this site often (her son also has one of my cornsnakes and will be getting another within year), and she will provide any info needed to help determine what's wrong with her dragon(s), etc.

Thank you all in advance. I know you won't let us down.

When I was looking for australian water dragons this spring (haven't made a purchase yet, but still planning on it), this was the only place that really popped up. I'm not sure if you're talking about Australian or Chinese, but they responded to my inquiries pretty quickly. They could be of help.

Thank you both very much, I did find Tricia's site to be more helpful. I had visited her site before I first purchased the 2 chinese water dragons, and actually built their environment to her recommendations. I am going to try a few different things, just maybe my humidity isn't right, or the UVB light needs to be on longer during the day. I was instructed by the reptile specialist at the pet store that the filtered UVB was just as well for a chinese water dragon, and unfiltered UVB would probably be too much for them. Well, I hear too many conflicting stories but will try new things. I personally think it may the GOUT as opposed to MBD. Again, i really thank you both for helping me out! Chee Chee and Chong appreciate it too!!
