okay so this is going to sound odd but when is the cornsnake breeding season? i have 3 baby corns that were given to me in one tank at the time i thought i was getting 1 corn, we dont have the room for more tanks until we move in a year or so and i want to make sure they dont breed, i know one of them is defiantly male and the other female i dont know about the 3rd but we think it female i have kritterkeepers to separate them so they dont breed but when do i need to remove the male?

Corn won't breed or try til 1 1/2 and up but...you will still have to separate them for health issues. You can keep them in plastic tubs( sweater/shoe boxes) also known as a rack system. If you search rack and or tub you will understand.

A member on another forum I was a member of had an accidental mating of ten month olds. I think separating them as soon as possible is the best way forward.

As Lenny has said, you don't need to use anything flash to house them - the snakes won't mind tubs as long as they have enough space to move round and you can kit them out with the same hides, bowls etc as you'd use in an ordinary tank.

There isn't a season, they can breed any time. Most people who are breeding (on purpose with snakes that are big enough) will brumate their snakes in the winter to make them come into breeding cycle in the spring. In the wild spring is also the time when corns mate. But if you keep them in captivity it can happen any time of the year.
