I know this is a cornsnake forum but please help. Any suggests will be greatly appreciated.

I just came home from work and Lizzy is not in her room. She lifted the screening from the door. We have a doggy door that stays open for Max and Lady and I can't find Lizzy in the house.

What can I do? If she is still on the property then there is a 60 ft hardwood tree she might be in but I can't see her.

What is Lizzy? I bet she's in the house, hiding. I'd seal off the doggy door so if Lizzy is in the house, she can't leave. If she did get out, I would expect to find her not far away, somewhere along the foundation. Can you leave food out?

Also, I'd take pictures of her (or whatever she is) to the nearest neighbors and leave your phone number. You might even make a Lost poster.

How big of an Iguana Is She???? I would look high up or around any house plants you may have. I bet some are now missing. :grin01:
Give the house a good check over and around the surrounding bushes and trees. She shouldn't be to far.

I lost a major iguana in the house once. He was found, hours later, in a giant pile of stuffed animals in my daughter's room. He looked like ET in that scene where he's hiding in the closet. He was right in plain sight.

Lizzy is 4 foot and part of her tail is broken off. Everyone in the neighbourhood knows she belongs to us so if someone finds her they'll let us know. Kevin is out of town until Friday and he doesn't think she went out the doggy door because of the strong dog odor there. I'm leaving a plate of food out tonight and I know I won't sleep well. Once the dogs are in the house I'm closing the doggie door.

I looked everyplace up high and even in my stuffed Tigger collection, curtains, bookshelves and closets. I still have to look in the laundry room where the water heater is.

I just feel so sick she's gone. I feed her at 12:30 when I came home from work at lunch and blocked the door but I didn't do a good enough job.

Hopefully Kevin is right and she is still in the house. He's afraid of her pooping on the couch, I would care if she pooped on the bed while I was in it as long as she's here and safe.

Thanks for all your comments and help. I'll keep you informed. Here's a photo of Lizzy and her rubber ducky.

Lizzy is back. Well, she never left. I don't know where she was when I was looking for her but she wasn't there when I found her today. I looked everywhere and my husband looked everywhere; even in the spot where I found her today.

I have been having cluster migraines today and when I laid down with one, the house was quiet but I heard this scratching noise. I got up and looked my my husband's closet and there she was on the shelf. If her tail wasn't hanging down I would have missed her again.

I probably spooked her when I hugged and loved on her. I was sooooo glad to find her.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Even though I haven't meet you all I feel we are friends.

Thanks again.
