no, not the dodge. why would a hatchling start everting his hemi...u guys have seen this...don't keep me in the dark!!! there are no girls around him, so what is is?

I don't think it's a usual thing with a hatchling. You may want to get him checked by a vet.
 
You said he just started to evert? What kind of a state was he in? I've seen some start to evert pink tissue (actually the scent glands) when afraid and attempting to musk. It looks like just a mm or so of pink tissue everted form the back of the vent.

How old is the snake?
 
It's most likely caused by stress, I've seen hatchlings invert their hemipenis before when really stressed. It is unusual in corns, happens more often with kingsnakes.
