I've pretty much decided to get a Herpstat.
Just in case the DH (dear/damned husband) groans about the cost I am getting together a cost list of what the herp will cost vs a on/off thermo and rheo combo. Of course, I'll let him know the differences in how the two work (that's the main selling point!)
So my question is this - I had originally planned on using a dual probe thermometer just to monitor the temps on each side of the viv. Do you think that would be a good idea to do that even with the herp? I can't really think of a reason why not, but wanted to check since I'm a complete newbie to corn care.
