Just thought I'd say hi! :)

We have an 8 month roaming about the house escaped red cornsnake :) and I was hoping for some tips, he's escaped once before and was AWOL for about a week when we found him wrapped round a glass on the draining board lol he has been missing for nearly 2 weeks, we've done the flour, masking tape balls and bottle traps and still no sign of him, and he hasn't taken the mice we've left out for him, but I was reading other threads and they say they can go about a month without food, we have left his heat mat and wee house on the floor and his water dish sitting out but he doesn't seem to have been near it, I don't mind him being out as am sure he'll turn up but the kids are in and out the back door as the weathers getting nicer and I don't want him to escape outside :/

Any tips or should we just keep doing what we're doing??

Thanks Lillith :) x

Im relatively new to corn snakes so i dont know much about finding them once they've pulled an escape act. You have done all that i have read about so the only thing i can recomend is puting the one strip of the tape in any door ways he might be going through or put the flower around warmest spot in the house. I hope something works for you and he turns up soon

Hi there and Welcome. Sorry to hear about your escapee. I had one little male lost for over a week when I found him in between my photo albums near the heater in our living room. Our other escape artists was indeed gone for a month and is still doing good. Here is that story lol.

They kind of show up when you are least expecting them too. I hope that it hasn't gotten outside, it's a miracle we found ours outside. Not much more you can to I'm afraid, just keep a positive attitude and be ready to catch them at any moment.
