Hello everyone!!! Exciting week with 17 out of 20 of my hatchlings coming to the world. But this is my first time, my corn as suppose to be a boy...eekkk! Started laying eggs before we even got her home. So now... I need tips on taming them. I have done much research on these little guys and gals but any extra advance from experience breeders and whatnot is greatly welcome.

Well for taming, I recommend handling a few minutes a day once they are settled from being move and whatnot once hatched. Increase the handling a bit each day. Some will be fighters, and some will be calm. It just takes time.

With Hatchlings, the more you handle them the more they calm down. However, most hatchlings still try to eat your face and rattle their tail for awhile.

Thanks for the advice! I figured there was no way around it other then the obvious... just wishful thinking. I mean... I know, you can't feel the bite... it's the shock factor. lol. and my 9 yr old will only touch a select few. So looks like I will be use to it shortly :)
