I will tell u that it is best to start with a baby corn snake because they stay in your life span for 20 years!
But if u start with a baby u feed it baby mice once a week and handle it every day so it knows its owner!
It is best to start of with a corn snake because they are the best type of snakes for starters!
If you've never had any reptile before, I'd actually personally suggest a yearling or grown-on hatchling corn, not a brand new baby. Usually a yearling will have set feeding patterns and will be beyond baby skittiness.
