Greetings!

Sunburst and I are sure glad to have found this site!

My wife and I adopted her from one of her classmates a couple months back. First time we have had a snake. We were told that she is a 3 1/2 year old. She is a little over four feet long and appears to be a pretty healthy girl. When she arrived, she lived in a 10gal tank with an extended wire tank cover seemed a little cramped in there for her.

We moved her into a brand new 55 gallon tank this week. Boy we are going to for sure have to get her more hides, vines and such in the larger tank as it seems kind of open in there now. Although, she does seem to enjoy being able to fully stretch out now and seems a lot more active in her new home then she was in the smaller tank.

Here's Sunburst in her new home. :)

That's a lovely tank and snake! They are such beautiful creatures. Sounds like she is already happy in her new set up. I have multiple hides for my snakes too, but for some reason or another they always favor one of them. Glad you found this forum too, ask us anything we are happy to help :D

P.s like the artwork in the background too ;)

You are right about the hides, I got one of those half lugs from a pet store and my snake didn't like it she prefers an empty roll of tp.

I love her colors, she is really pretty. Glad you moved her out of that little space and allowed her to stretch!

Welcome to CS.com Mudruck and Sunburst! She's a beautiful snake and going to be spoiled...How Wonderful!

You can always put some empty paper towel rolls in her Viv and see if she has any interest in them for hides or just exercise.

That tank is super. What kind of lid does it have (I can't quite see it) ?

Haha, spoiled.. yup! That she is!

I use a normal metal mesh lid on her viv, but at the time, it wasn't on there as moments before I took the picture I was cleaning up a 'little' mess she had made. :D

Great!

I know of quite a few people in here that even put objects like books on because their snakes are THAT strong!

Great snake good job moving her to the bigger viv. Welcome. yea my snake is strong enough I have to keep books on his viv all so!

My snow changes his hide preferences. I have four in each corner, now he likes the red plastic cup. My anery is 90% under her rock hide and 10% on her vine.
