I guess I'll keep it short and simple.

I'm a new corn snake owner, evidently about 2 or 3 years old. I've never owned any kind of reptile but have been reading and trying to get this guys habitat up to par.

I don't think the previous owner took very good care of him but he seem healthy, although was living with a broken heating pad.

Anyway heres a pic of him hanging out in my pocket.

I'm gonna head over to some forums to ask a few questions about this guy and get into the details.

Welcome to the site! Beautiful snake! There is A LOT of information in the Husbandry area of the forums that will more than answer most of your questions. There are also a lot of experienced breeders on here that can advise you I am sure.

Welcome. What kind of corn is it you've got? He's a handsome lil dude. This is assuming it's a boy lol. If not then SHE is a very pretty lil girl lol :p Does he/she have a name?

Hello and welcome! Gorgeous Classic you have there! Congrats on the new addition and giving it a better home. (they are also called normals, but each one is such a gem and there is so much diversity between each individual that I think the term classic is better)

it's a boy to the best of my knowledge. and his name for now is Stu, but my daughter wants to change his name.

Well, she has a bad tendancy to constantly rename things. So we've told her to get to know it first and come up with a name appropriate to his personality.

no one really knows. His original owner named him snakey, my buddy who received the snake from him named him Stu. for right now, that's his name.
