I found this site as I was looking up more info on my corns. I've had snakes on and off for about 9 years now, but milky (was china)- is now my main beau.
and Ive got some questions about her feeding reactions. shes a Sweet snake, and enjoys being held... (I think) but as soon as I bring a mouse into the house, (fresh brained at the pet store for me) she starts striking at everything, and sometimes shes still in her hide when she starts.
I only feed her after she defecates the last of her meal. usually every 5 or 6 days, depending on the size of her meal. its not a set feeding, and at times, the time can be Vary random. I dont feed her in her cage cause the bedding gets in the fur and in her mouth, so its usually in a feed box, but its gotten so bad as I am starting to use gloves to fish her out of her cage when I am ready to feed her. otherwise shes a vary slow and friendly snake.
can anyone tell me why she acts like this? she cant have smelled the bagged mouse That fast.. can she?
