Hi All,
I've been a member for a little while, although I don't post very often. I really enjoy this site because our members have so much enthusiasm & love for their corns, and because there's so much valuable information here.
I've always enjoyed non-conventional pets (hmm, let's see: monarch butterfly, various spiders, spotted salamander, bullfrog, rat, painted turtle...), but I got my first corn from a herp show when I was in college. Since then, I've been hooked. I now have several captive-breds of various morphs. I enjoy the way they move, their colors, they way they explore - everything!
Anyway, I'm not doing any official breeding yet (I may eventually, once I have a larger home), but this spring, I put my two adults together, partly because they were going nuts, and partly because I wanted to see what would happen. Well, guess what?? – this whole mating thing really works!
The entire process – incubation, hatching, tease-feeding – has been amazing. Going from two parents to a handful of squirming miniatures really makes you appreciate nature.
Now… if I can only find loving homes for all my babies… (If you're shopping, please visit my post in the Corn Snakes For Sale forum!)
Make it a great day!
