Hi. Here's my first corn.

Hello there.

I recently purchased as a gift for my fiancee a pretty little female corn from a local girl from craigslist.

She'd listed it as a ghost corn, but I was curious if there was a resource where I might be able to find out more about the patterns and coloration that define certain phases.

Here's Isis:

Awwww what a cutey. I love the way you caght the pinky hanging out of the mouth like a big fat cigar. Nice pic, nice snake

Thanks.

The fiancee had her on the bed earlier. She curled up in the bend in her elbow and just relaxed and watched TV with her. heheh

She eats well. She'll actually pick the food up and point straight up to let gravity assist in the process. Crafty bugger.

Sorry for the double post here, but it would seem that the closest match I can see via Ian's would be the following:

Ultramel Anerythristic

Would this appear to be correct? I realize that you really cannot KNOW without having the breeding history, but via visual cues, it seems quite similar.

I would say that she's probably just an anery, although its possible that she's a ghost like you stated originally. Here's a picture of Casper, my yearling ghost:

But like you already mentioned, it is hard to know for sure without knowing what the parents were, and without breeding trials with snakes of known genetics.

I believe that ultramels have ruby pupils (as is seen in the photo you posted). Your snake has dark pupils.

It's hard to say for sure what morph. I would lean towards ghost, the eyes are very light almost silver. But I'm no expert. Here's a picture of our ghost, also a craigslist rescue.

Just so you know, the pupils are the wrong color to be an ultramel anery. Isis appears to be either a nice ghost, like Aphrodite here

or a very light anerythristic.
She's definitely a good looking rescue!

Ghosts and anerys are hard to tell apart sometimes. Seeing these pictures, I'm wondering if Sylvester might not be a ghost.. He's got no yellow at all, and he's much lighter. :uhoh:

I really need to get me that morph book I've been wanting!
