Hi, I am new to the forum

Leew

New member
I have only been a member here for a few days. I have read a lot of threads and have been trying to get a feel for the people here before I post. I have found a lot of good information and look forward to learning about snakes.

I am a little frightened to make my first posts. Many of the people here appear quick to criticize and jump on new people. Maybe I just need more time.

Glad to be here just the same.

Forgot to mention, my name is Lee. The system wouldn't let me have a three letter name.

Hello & welcome from Idaho!
Everyone here is usually pretty nice unless you jump into a hot topic, like co-habiting, live feeding or some political topics.
Are you going to be going to the Wasatch Reptile Expo? This is going to be the first year I'll get to go, looking forward to meeting everyone I've met on the few forums I belong to.
Do you have a corn already?

Welcome Lee, I am also pretty new to the forums, Personally have found that people are only really quick to criticize when they believe you are doing something wrong. and that's only with the safety of your animal in mind. Don't be afraid to ask questions and anything that you may think is a silly thing to ask, i know i have asked some dumb questions, however the information i received was very helpful. anyways, welcome to the forums, enjoy.

thanks.

Nick.

Welcome, from Washington state!

For the most part, people here are trying to help. Their first concern is for the snakes, so they may come across pretty harsh at times.
There are a few judgemental people here, that act unreasonably. Ignore them. It only shows their maturity level.

Take the advice itself, to help you. Don't pay attention to the manner it was delivered, if someone is rude.

There are far more nice people here, than rude people.

Do you have any snakes? Be sure to post pics! :)

Thank you for the welcomes. Yes I do have 3 corn snakes already. I hope to go to the Wasatch Reptile Expo. Salt Lake City is only about 30 miles from my home. Maybe we can see each other there.

Hi Lee,

Welcome! I'm new to the site myself. I've been doing a lot of research and asking a lot of questions. The folks here have always been very helpful to me. I've found far more camaraderie than criticism. Hope you do, too.
