Welcome to the forums :) I am getting my first corn soon as well, I know the feeling well. These forums are great, I am sure they will prove invaluble to you :)

Welcome to the site!!!!!!!! There is a lot of information here. Be sure to read the FAQ section in the forums. They answer a lot of questions.
There are a lot of great people here. Everybody is always willing to help.

I am not an expert but, I would stay away from the petshop unless they specialize in reptiles and the store is immaculate. I bought my first snake from 'Superpets" A chain store in my area Had the snake for two days and it died from Stargazers disease a very bad experience to say the least. A good mailorder that specialises in corns is your best bet! And yes Corns are the best snakes to raise

Hey there! First off your going to want to get a good lid for your 20l, the rubber maid just wont cut it. You also want to avoid tape at all cost being as your snake could and would get stuck to it resulting in the way wrong kind of shed a permanate one. You should look into getting your self a good old tough top and a set of lid clips. I use these on occasion and they work well, a little tricky to get into shape at first but you will get the hang of it.

its a 10g rubbermaid there isnt any space between the lid the tape is there so the lid doesnt pop off.....................

If you have the 20l now I would just suggest useing that, as long as you have a secure lid you will have one happy little serpent.

ok i do have the 20g so i put the aspen in there and the hides and the heatpad and decor...right after you said that it took a while to carry the 20g(for being recommended for baby corns this thing was heavy lol)in a different room going down the stairs and everything lol lol. the setup looks better and you can see it more clearly and it does have a much better lid!lol and i can fit all of the stuff in there without feeling like i made it too crowded...but my problem is i havent decided on a corn because ive also been thinking about bps......thanks again! :headbang: i should have set all the stuff in the 20g in the first place lol...

Welcome Slitherz! Nice to see young herpers! On the subject of lids staying on...use the metal lid clamps! Corns (all snakes in fact) seem to love to find a way out! And they never forget! Stay in touch with the people here...we will always be helpful and sometimes funny!
