What the deuce???
I haven't even had my corn for a week now, so I do not want to bug him too much or move his living quarters around a lot. I have two hides and a plastic climbing branch for him. The problem is that the hide on the warm side is basically a big half log that doesn't offer a lot of edges to curl up to. I also have a smaller hide on the cooler side that he seems to like. My question is should I switch the two if he tends to stay on the cooler side (it's 72 degrees there and 80 on the warm)? He was using the warm hide a lot after he fed but, now he moved over to the cooler side, which he usually never used. Should I be worried that he may not get warm enough because he doesn't "like" the warm hide? Or is this just thermoregulation? May be a stupid question, but I'm a worried "new mom" lol

Don't worry about it, if the snake has a temp gradient, it'll go where it is comfortable for the moment. Welcome to the forums BTW :wavey:

Same with mbdorfer. Your snake knows what it wants, as far as hot and cold, and will go where it feels more comfortable. Try and putting the half log against the glass so he feels more secure (Having 3 sides covered). Make sure you have some cover or background on that glass or else he obviously wont feel hidden or secure.
