Ok, this is the second time in about three days my snake got out of her tank, both times thanks to my big fat black cat keeps jumping on the tank (I've had the snake for over a year, don't know why the cat seems to have just noticed her...) This time however she broke the screen and Whisper is roaming somewhere in the house. Last time we found her chilling out in the middle of the spare room, this time is proving to be more difficult. Does anyone have any tips on how to find a small brown snake? I've put towels under the doors of the two rooms I think shes in, and I'm lying out food for her to determine which one she is in...

Have you tried a bottle trap? Cut the top off of a soda bottle put it in like a funnel and put the food in there. Hopefully your snake will go in and not be able to get out. Flower on the ground is also a good idea. Put it along the wall as that's where they like to go. You'll be able to see the trail. Candice got out once and I set traps and all but the next night when I got home from work she was sitting on top of her viv. :crazy02: Good luck!

Thanks. We found her last night safely tucked between my bed and the trunk I use as a nightstand. I've got her set up in my spare viv until we can get her a new screen top. I'm so glad none of the cats got her! I don't think they'd do much more than play with her, they're all rather lazy cats and de-clawed, still, I'm glad Whisper is safe (and now well fed as we gave her the pinkies I'd laid out as bait)

Glad to hear she's safe :) . Might want to keep those cats off the new screen though  Silly fur balls lol. Have a good one!
