My brother is getting a cornsnake tomorrow.

It hatched about the same time as mine and came from the same breeder.
We won't have enough money for another viv. until my dads next payday.

So, we figured until then [about 2 weeks or so] we could just
put both in the same viv.

Of course, before we did anything, I insisted that I should consult with the great people from cornsnakes.com.
So here I am.
Your opinions please?

You don't have enough money for another viv, but you have the money to buy one snake as food for the other? This is a real risk, and the risk is greatest when they're young hatchlings. Use a tight-fitting tupperware container with ventilation holes until you can buy the viv. Or better yet, hold off on buying the snake until you've bought the viv.

You should also do a search for the term "quarantine".

You didn't say how old they are . I'm presuming they're both 06.
I know the situation is not ideal but as it arrives tomorrow and you only got ! viv you ain't got much choice.
They'll probably be fine for 2 weeks. As long as the new snake doesn't bring any nasties with it.

See? My mom wouldn't believe me when I told her co-habitation was a bad idea.
She just wanted proof.
Please and thanks much.
In that case go with what you know. Wait two weeks and kit them out properly
Your the expert in your house by the sound of it.

Go get a gladware container and put some holes in it. That's what I keep my hatchlings in and it works just fine (as long as the lids are the tight fitting ones). Not that expensive, paper towel on the bottom, condiment container as water dish and turned over carryout food container or toilet paper roll as a hide.
