Are we there yet?
Any one have info/pictures of what a snake homo hypo, amel, and lav would be like?

I know a hypo amel is an amel with a lot more orange, and an opal is kinda a whitish purple snake. Would a "hopal" be a whitish purple with more orange than a typical opal, or is the difference even noticeable?

(P.S. I'm kidding about the name "hopal"... unless that's what they're actually being called. For some reason it gives me the image of a sad-looking oompa loompa.)

I can't say that I've seen any photos of known hypo opals. But personally, I can't tell the difference between a hypo amel and a regular amel. The supposed increased color/brightness/whatever can also be found on non-hypo amels (just look at any fluorescent).

And I see no difference in coloration from a typical opal. But of course, the lighting an all those photos of the hypo opal is off, which makes telling it's exact color difficult.

I agree. I didn't any difference in coloring...

Thanks for the pictures. :)

I guess, hets willing, I'll have to see if there's a difference for myself...

I'm supposing outside pictures would also make a difference. Maybe you could shoot rosecat a PM and request some?
