House spider ID please

Scrufdog

that one guy
found this one after i got out of the shower. About 1/2" across including the legs. These were the best pics I could get before it... went bye bye...

I think it came out of my bathroom fan vent. I'm thinking maybe a small wolf spider?

It reminds me of Steve! Might be a large jumping spider. The wolf spiders in my house are huge and brown. There's also an albino-type spidey beast that is similar but doesn't get as large that I've seen as well, and neither of them look like that in body shape or pattern.

Aw, why'd you kill it? Spiders in the home are a benefit to all, providing they aren't deadly. (at least, I think you killed it based on your post.)

After some research, I'm not so sure it's a house spider. It reminds me of a crab spider, but I could not find a match.

Check out www.whatsthatbug.com and look thru the spiders. I'm sure you'll find a picture there. It's a very interesting site and a great resource for all that's insects in the world. It's a little time consuming, but I've enjoyed going on there.
