Housing baby snakes...

I just bought some baby snakes... purchased them wholesale. Now I'm wondering... what is the best way to house them? The local reptile store by me (D&Js) breeds their own and said I could put them in a couple 5 1/2 or even smaller tanks together. Other people put their snakes in sterilites. But the thing with the sterilites that I worry about is getting the right amount of heat to these little guys. Any and all comments are welcome.

I have mine in sterilite rack system with heat cable across back on side temps great. I would not put them together. susang

Get one large heat strip, and buy a small sterile for each of your babies, line them up against the heat strip, sitting about 1/3-1/2 over it, and hey presto! I wouldnt house them together though, checkout the recent petco post for 1 very good reason!

Where could I find the petco post? Can you reply with a link? I'm very curious to read this now.)

Thanks diamond. Unfortunately I don't get to spend nearly as much time on here as I'd like and I actually feel silly for not noticing the thread just a couple posts after mine. That's horrible.( I was in my local reptile store about a month back and one of the babies ate one of it's siblings. I was under the impression that babies would only do that if not fed properly but, after doing some more research my project for the weekend is building a nice rack for all my new babies. Now I just gotta find some good threads for that! LoL
