Thinking my 3 and a half year old JASPER needs a new tank. Any advice on the size ( height, width and depth in inches please! )

For an adult, a 20 gallon is the bare minimum, 33 gallon is what I use, and 40 is a great deal of room. My tank is 36L x 18H x 12W

I think they should at least have at 3 square feet of space on the floor to roam around, anything less I think wouldn't be enough.
