Housing same sex together?

I know that it has been urged by most of you to house all snake separately, but I was just curious if same sex snakes can be housed together in larger cages with less of a problem than male and female. I have been told that housing two females together would bring about no problem, but can the same be done for two males? I would appreciate any input and opinion :)

I guess.

But then again why you would want to is beyond me. You could possibly have no problems housing two males, but most might get upset andd stressed during breeding season. And you could house two females together, but again I see no legitamite reason why anyone would.
