Hoo boy, I love this question. I started out by continuing the NATO phonetic alphabet naming convention started by my bf who works for the Air Force (civilian). He found some kittens and named them Oscar, Echo, and Victor. So now we have:
Alpha - Palmetto
Charlie - Strawberry Plasma
Delta - Buf Tessera
Foxtrot - Peach Hypo Lavender
India - RC Anery
Juliett - Diffused Topaz
November - Orchid
Sierra - Classic
Tango - Cayenne Fire
Zulu - Hypo(berry?) mystery thing
Then there was the freebie female I got and named after a softcore porn I found in my grandpa's sock drawer while searching for Christmas presents at age 12.
Felicity - Magma (Lava Blood)
From there I started running out of phonetic names I liked, so I turned to Magic: the Gathering for inspiration.
Elspeth - Hypo Lavender
Avacyn - Amethyst (Lava Lavender)
Mikaeus - Tessera
Akiri - Sunkissed
Tibalt - Cherry Amel
Kenji - Ball Python (named after a popular player rather than a card)
Two clutches of possible het Goldens all got dessert-ish names in honor of their Caramel dams: Amandine, Baklava, Cannoli, Doughnut, Empanada, Fritter, Gelato, Ambrosia, Biscotti, Churro, Divinity, and Eclair.
I'm going to try and keep naming clutches for as long as I can come up with names.
Clutch #1 - Spicy Chili Cultivars: Pequin, Cascabel, Pasilla, Rocoto, Mirasol, Malagueta, Aji, Puya, Espanola, Morita, Chimayo, Moruga, and Guajillo.
Clutch #2 - Solar Divinities: Surya, Belenos, Atarapa, Marici, Arinniti, Utu, Inti, Ekhi, and Zhuyin.
Clutch #3 only had one surviving hatchling, a keeper I've named Ember.
Clutch #4 - Magic: the Gathering Abilities: Affinity, Flip, Vigilance, Flash, Dash, Storm, Frenzy, Ripple, Grandeur, Cipher, Radiance, Cascade, Chroma, Prowess, and Scry.
Haven't decided on a name theme for Clutch #5, which should hatch within the week.
